After downloading the application, I tried opening it. After excepting the developer and
such, the application would not open. I've tried opening it multiple times, but doesn't
seem to open.
> What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would assume that it would simply open straight up. Instead, it looks to be opening for
a quick moment and then just closes.
> What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.9.5

I've tried downloading the newest version of Java, as well, but it doesn't seem to work.
I've also tried redownloading it multiple times.
It did open once after I added it to the dock, but I've repeated the same steps and it
still won't open. Please help, if possible.
Could you please try the latest nightly build? Is it still wrong?
Tried it, but same thing happens.
The problem is that we do not have Mac OS X to try and fix it ourselves.
We have compiled/zipped the package and even the installer existed for few nightly
builds,
only thing we can do is keep releasing something and ask "is it working now?" over and
over again,
which is pretty annoying for both sides.
We need a Mac OS X version maintainer, which understands Ant or Java and can take a look
what is not working there.
The best I can recommend to you now is download classic ZIP version and run ffdec.sh in
the application directory, which may be uncomfortable for Mac user, but it should at least
run...
Is it possible to start it from a console window on Mac? If it is possible please try it.
Is there any error message in the console window?
> open /Applications/FFDec.app
shows the attached dialog
IMHO, one needs to install JDK, so that the system binary for java will also be of the
latest version...

Ok, I had the exact same problem as you, however, I have solved it.
First and foremost, right click the application icon (of FFDec) and go into the contents
folder. Then go into the resource folder. There is a .jar file, and this is how i figured
out the problem. The problem is that Macs don't have Java preinstalled, and haven't for a
while, but to run this program you need Java. So what you need to do is go to either
Oracle, or java.com and download the latest version of Java. Then try opening up the app
again. Wallah, it works.
Btw, you're welcome mac users
